My replacement

So, it’s been almost a year since I’ve quit my job. (I can’t believe it’s been that long!) When I first left, I was very curious of my replacement—whether she was doing well or not. Some of my former coworkers have said she was no me. After several months, I figured she was doing well as I hadn’t heard any complaints about her.

Out of the blue, one of my friends told me that my replacement has been let go. Apparently, she was let go because she didn’t have enough experience and didn’t have the right skill set for the job. I feel really bad for her, as she’s almost a year in and they’ve waited this long to let her go. If they had so many problems with her, they should’ve addressed it with her sooner or trained her. I Was Told There'd Be Cake

When I came across this book in the library, I immediately snapped it up based on the book title. It was an okay read :? Her stories are more suited for a personal blog. She tries to be personable, but her way of writing is so haughty & disconcerting. I just wanted her TO. STOP. TALKING.

It does make me wonder if I, too, could publish my own book of personal essays, since you don’t seem to need to have a particularly interesting life to be able to publish one… Oooh, burn!

However, it was nice to know that I’m not alone with my bridesmaid drama. She, too, was asked by someone to be a bridesmaid because the bride considered her a very close friend, even though she wasn’t.

Due to high demand...

Pottermore, you’re breaking my heart! I’ve been trying to log into Pottermore for weeks now and have gotten this message 99% of the time. I hope Sony beefs up their servers because demand will skyrocket when the site opens to everyone later this month.

The Sorting Hat - Pottermore

The Sorting Hat - Pottermore

As every Harry Potter fan knows, the Sorting Hat Ceremony is one of the most important events in a student’s life as this is the moment when the Hat will decide which House you will spend all seven of your years at school. These are the students you will be living with and spending most of your time with. My favorite Houses are Gryffindor (of course!) and Ravenclaw, but I am happy to be able to help shape Pottermore before everyone else, so any House will be fine.
