A fusion of color
As per Stress reliever and Let’s get crafty…, I’ve been feeling crafty lately; plus, it’s starting to get cold again, so I decided to whip up a scarf. A classmate of mine gave me a HUGE bag full of yarn as a thank you when I helped her with her class website, so I went digging through that stash to make these projects. I’ve crocheted 4 scarfs so far.
This scarf is for my friend. It’s modeled from Luna Lovegood’s scarf from the Harry Potter movies. You can get the free pattern here. Continue reading

To London!
Now that the Harry Potter movies are over, it’s no surprise that Warner Brothers has decided to open Leavesden Studios to the public next year. When they announced it a month or so ago, I was very excited!
I’d already taken a picture at Platform 9¾ in London’s King’s Cross Station in 2008, flown to Chicago to see Harry Potter: The Exhibition in 2009, been to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando last year, and scored an early invite (and got sorted) into Pottermore this year. Yes, I’m a Harry Potter nerd. I’m a PROUD Potterhead!

Why Pottermore?! Why?
Pottermore, you’re breaking my heart! I’ve been trying to log into Pottermore for weeks now and have gotten this message 99% of the time. I hope Sony beefs up their servers because demand will skyrocket when the site opens to everyone later this month.

My Sorting

The Sorting Hat - Pottermore
As every Harry Potter fan knows, the Sorting Hat Ceremony is one of the most important events in a student’s life as this is the moment when the Hat will decide which House you will spend all seven of your years at school. These are the students you will be living with and spending most of your time with. My favorite Houses are Gryffindor (of course!) and Ravenclaw, but I am happy to be able to help shape Pottermore before everyone else, so any House will be fine.
