Bridesmaid shoes

My friend, the bride, decided that not only are we, the bridesmaids, wearing the same dress (see below), we’ll be wearing the same shoes as well.

She gave us the following shoes to rate. What do you guys think?:

Honestly, I’d rather pick my own shoes. Primarily because I don’t want to pay $70-100+ for shoes I’ll only be wearing once. Also, I wanted to retain some individualism, even if it was just picking my own shoes… But, unfortunately, it’s not up to me…

tea, an omelet, and a hamburger

It was such a nice weekend that my friend, E, and I decided to hang out in Fells Point, by the water.

After hearing good things about my previous two visits to Teavolve, E wanted to check it out. I ordered a pot of Rooibos Paradise tea and made my own omelet (Canadian bacon, Italian sausage and green peppers). I liked my tea and food, as usual. My only gripe was the SUPER slow service. Sometimes it felt like they forgot we were there! I noticed that some people even left as they got tired of waiting to be given menus!

host jump

It’s been quite a bumpy few days. Our host, First Hosting, went down and their Twitter account wasn’t very active or full of information as to when they would be back up. Aashni of Enchant Me Not Hosting was very nice and offered me free hosting She’s very helpful and fast when it comes to set ups. My friend, Karen, can attest to this as she’s been plagued with bad hosting experience since NLH went down and abandoned everyone

After not hearing from First Hosting, my host, Mica, decided to move me into Rewindhost. I’ve heard good things about them, so I’m hoping this will be my last move. I feel like NLH cursed us and now we’re doomed to host hop. I hope not! :-?

I make regular full backups, but missed last week’s so I lost my previous post and some pages. It’s no big deal, though. I’m just glad to have a full-functioning site again!

Back to WordPress!

I gave Posterous a try for a bit, but there were some things that I wished I had more control over. Plus, their Android app was crap and I couldn’t even edit posts, save drafts, or moderate comments. All that stuff had to be done on the computer

Anyhoo, my friend and I checked out Tea By Two, a tea place near her town. It was very homey, country-inspired tea house. It’s definitely just like going for tea at grandmother’s house. The tea sandwiches and scones were very tasty, and I love the free refills on the tea!  They say they’re not happy unless we’re happy meaning we can switch our tea flavor anytime we wanted to. If you’re ever in Harford County, give it a try!
