Successful shopping day!

Free Shopping Day

Free stuff!

Today, I accompanied my friend on a shopping trip to the local mall as she was looking for an outfit for her Kpop concert tomorrow. I’m low on cash, so I decided to cut back on my purchases. While my haul wasn’t as impressive as hers, mine were all free!

We went to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch where I ordered small plates of Chicken Croquettes and Tempura Shrimp Stuffed Peppers. I didn’t finish all of my food and asked for the leftovers to be bagged. Our server agreed, but eventually forgot about it. When I asked her about it, she must’ve thrown away my leftovers because she gave me a new order of Chicken Croquettes to take home… FOR FREE! Continue reading

My replacement

So, it’s been almost a year since I’ve quit my job. (I can’t believe it’s been that long!) When I first left, I was very curious of my replacement—whether she was doing well or not. Some of my former coworkers have said she was no me. After several months, I figured she was doing well as I hadn’t heard any complaints about her.

Out of the blue, one of my friends told me that my replacement has been let go. Apparently, she was let go because she didn’t have enough experience and didn’t have the right skill set for the job. I feel really bad for her, as she’s almost a year in and they’ve waited this long to let her go. If they had so many problems with her, they should’ve addressed it with her sooner or trained her. OR, maybe they shouldn’t have hired her at all!

A Supernatural marathon

Supernatural marathon food

Ham & turkey panini, Thai iced tea, and curried squash soup

Since we missed (mostly) all of Supernatural’s season 6, my friend & I decided to marathon the episodes on the first DVD. Then, we got silly and decided to make a meal to eat during the marathon. The above picture is a result, and are all made from scratch. It was really fun. I hope we’ll have more marathons like that

During last weekend’s Baltimore Book Festival, Johns Hopkins University opened the Peabody Institute to the public. The library is breathtaking. Mostly everyone who entered the room stopped and gasped. I would LOVE to have lived there! Plus, the spiral staircase is beautiful! My friend joked and called the Institute “Hogwarts”
