Pasalubong

Sponge Cola CDs

When my parents came back from their Philippine vacation, they brought back some great “pasalubong” (homecoming gifts). My most anticipated one was Sponge Cola‘s latest CD, Araw Oras Tagpuan. I have all the other Sponge Cola albums, which my father forgot. So, when the sales lady at SM Fairview showed him their Sponge Cola CD inventory, he bought them all

No complaints! I like the extras that the repacks had. In the (hopefully near) future, I’m thinking of holding a giveaway of sorts to promote my blog by giving away my extra Sponge Cola CDs and perhaps some cute things I find in my favorite shops. So, watch out for that!

During last weekend’s Baltimore Book Festival, Johns Hopkins University opened the Peabody Institute to the public. The library is breathtaking. Mostly everyone who entered the room stopped and gasped. I would LOVE to have lived there! Plus, the spiral staircase is beautiful! My friend joked and called the Institute “Hogwarts”

Penne Rosa trio

Parmesan-crusted Chicken Penne Rosa with Chicken Noodle soup

After J visited San Francisco, C & I wanted to catch up with her and hear all about the trip, so we planned a lunchtime gathering at Noodles & Company. I ordered a Trio: Penne Rosa with parmesan-crusted chicken and a chicken noodle soup as the side.

While happily chatting away, we felt our booth shake. We all turned around thinking someone was shaking it. Of course, we saw nobody behind our booth and that’s when we realized that the whole restaurant was shaking. One of the customers immediately ran out of the door. Having lived in the Philippines as a young child, I remembered all the earthquake drills we had in grade school. I was ready to go under the restaurant table for safety. Fortunately, the tremors quickly subsided. Thank goodness there were no injuries.

I took this cell phone picture last year when my friends & I visited HP Land. All the HP commercials for the last movie has me feeling nostalgic.

Purse organizer

When I was in the Philippines last year, I saw a purse organizer at Landmark in Trinoma (Hazel bought a similar one) and just scoffed at it, thinking I didn’t need it. Well, I am now eating my words. I’ve been buying bigger bags lately and find myself constantly digging for things I need. Seriously, it’s like whatever I need hides at the bottom of the bag and it always takes me several minutes to find it.

Anyone see the latest Harry Potter movie? Well, it’s like I have an undetectable extension charm on my purse. One day, I’ll be digging around and will find a tent in there

Anyway, I decided to buy a purse organizer from eBay. It’s not the same as the ones I saw at Landmark. This one is a long strip of fabric with pockets which you can fold to fit into your purse. It looks similar to a Purseket.

It sounds like a great deal at a little under $5, including shipping. I’m psyched! It’s shipping from Hong Kong, though, so I won’t be getting it for another 2-3 weeks. I’ll definitely take it on a test drive once I get it, and let you guys know!
